Topola description

One of the most famous landmarks in Topola is the Karadordevic family complex. The complex includes the Church of Saint George, the Mausoleum of Karadorde Petrovic and the House of Karadorde.

The Church of Saint George was built in 1912 and is one of the most beautiful examples of Serbian-Byzantine architecture. The church is dedicated to Saint George, who is considered the patron saint of the Karadordević family.

The Mausoleum of Karadorde Petrovic was built in 1930 and is located next to the church. It was built to honor Karadorde Petrovic, who was a Serbian revolutionary and founder of the Karadordevic dynasty.

The House of Karadorde is located near the church and was built in 1811. It was the residence of Karadorde Petrovic and his family. Today, it is a museum that showcases the life and times of the Karadordevic family.

There are several vineyards in Topola that are worth visiting. One of the most famous is the Aleksandrovic Winery. It is located in the village of Vinca, at the foot of Oplenac. The winery is known for its top-quality wines and offers wine tours to visitors.

Other vineyards in Topola include Vinarija Arsenijevic and Vinarija Jovic. Both vineyards offer wine tastings and tours.
