There are currently 16 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Poland, and additional 6 sites on the UNESCO Tentative List as well as 16 entries in the UNESCO Memory of the World Programme.

Roman-Catholic sanctuaries are Poland's landmarks. The majority of pilgrims flock to the Pauline Monastery on Jasna Gora, the spiritual capital of the country, in Czestochowa. Here you will find the blessed and miraculous icon of the Black Madonna, venerated both in Poland and abroad.

Travelers from around the world swarm to Poland for a variety of reasons. While the cities are a major draw, Polish national parks are also an exceptional reason to visit the country. The twenty-three protected areas represent the best scenery and outdoor exploration opportunities.
