Join us on a relaxing 2-day discovery micro-tour from Trebinje, crafted for seniors and mature travelers who love history, sightseeing, and local food and drinks without hurry. Following the Slow Tourism philosophy with no rush and no tight schedules, this short but rich journey takes you to UNESCO-listed treasures of Herzegovina, including the magnificent Vjetrenica cave, the iconic city of Mostar, and the thundering Kravica waterfalls.

Experience cultural aspects of Bosnia-Herzegovina, admire scenic roads through the Neretva valley, sample excellent local vintages at Tvrdos winery, and let the region's history unfold before you. This tour combines well-known destinations like Mostar and Medjugorje with off-the-beaten-path hidden gems such as the Tvrdos monastery – all at a gentle, easy pace.

Day after day description

Day 1. We depart from Trebinje and travel to Tvrdos to explore its Serbian Orthodox monastery, originally founded in the 15th century, and sample local wines at its winery. We then continue to the fascinating Vjetrenica cave system (UNESCO World Heritage Site), renowned for its extraordinary biodiversity and spectacular underground formations. Our journey proceeds to the iconic city of Mostar to explore its famous historical center (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and admire the reconstructed 16th-century Stari Most (Old Bridge), a powerful symbol of reconciliation. We will stay overnight in Mostar.

Day 2. After staying in Mostar, we travel to Medjugorje, a world-famous Roman Catholic pilgrimage center that has attracted millions of visitors since reported apparitions began in 1981. We then visit the spectacular Kravica waterfalls, a natural amphitheater of cascades on the Trebizat River, ideal for swimming and photography. After that, we return to Trebinje, where our memorable journey concludes.
