Tour description

An important and historical Serbian Orthodox monastery located in the village of Zavala, approximately 50 km from Trebinje (Republika Srpska). Along with Zitomislic (located near Mostar) and Tvrdos (near the city of Trebinje), Zavala is one of the most prominent monasteries in East Herzegovina.

Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Stolac and surroundings have been inhabited since ancient times due to the area's favorable natural environment. The rich grounds along with other natural benefits attracted prehistoric man, and later the Illyrians, Romans and Slavs, all of whom left a wealth of anthropological evidence. The area has been settled for at least 15,000 years.

Blagaj, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Blagaj is a village in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of Bosnia-Herzegovina, located in about 15 km from Mostar, and is one of the most valuable mixed urban and rural built environments in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Blagaj has eleven national monuments, and is famous for the spring of the Buna river coming from cave, historical Dervish monastery (tekija) built around 1520, and medieval fortress Blagaj Fort, town-fortress complex built on a 310 meters high karst hill. Blagaj is also known as a residential area of Bosnian rulers and royal families.

Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Mostar, beautiful and historical town, located only 60 km away from the Adriatic Sea, is the cultural, political and financial center of Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Old Bridge, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia-Herzegovina's most recognizable landmarks, and is considered one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in the Balkans.

Medjugorje, with special vibe and a mild Mediterranean climate, is the largest tourist and pilgrimage site in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a popular pilgrim's destination. There are a number of religious significance places that you should visit if you are there.

The Kravica Waterfalls, also known as Kravica Nature Park, are one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most spectacular natural wonders. Počitelj (Pocitelj), Bosnia and Herzegovina

Počitelj is a small Ottoman-Mediterranean settlement, built along the Neretva river, conveniently located on the major road between Dubrovnik and Mostar. The walled town of Počitelj evolved in the period from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Architecturally, the stone-constructed parts of the town are a fortified complex, in which two stages of evolution are evident: medieval and Ottoman.

Konjic, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The town is one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia-Herzegovina (dating back almost 4000 years), and home to the iconic Konjic Old Stone Bridge, constructed in 1683 during the Ottoman era. Konjic is also famous for its woodcarving tradition. Konjic natural heritage together with the cultural heritage represent rich and valuable resources for Bosnia-Herzegovina as well as Europe.

It is affected by both the continental European climate from the North, and the Mediterranean climate from the South. This historical city is rich in cultural and religious diversity.

Trebinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Trebinje, the southernmost city in Bosnia-Herzegovina and one of the most beautiful cities in the country, is the economic and cultural center of the region of Eastern Herzegovina. Its Ottoman walled Old Town together with the Arslanagic Bridge (which is one of the most attractive Ottoman-era bridges in Bosnia-Herzegovina) are the most visited tourist attraction in Trebinje.

Tvrdoš (Tvrdos), Bosnia and Herzegovina

Known for winery, orthodox monastery

The famous monastery Tvrdos, located about five kilometers from Trebinje, dates back to the Middle Ages and it is believed that it was founded by the Czar, Saint Constantine, and his mother Saint Helen. The Tvrdos monastery is renowned for its wine production and its wine cellars, with possibility to wine tasting.

Vjetrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Known for cave; cave is a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Vjetrenica (the wind cave) is the largest and most important cave in Bosnia-Herzegovina, is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and one of the most important caves in the Dinaric Alps mountain range, which is famous worldwide for its karstic and speleological richness. It is a real treasure in biodiversity. Also, it is the home to the famous olm (cave aquatic salamander) and houses beautiful cave formations as well.
