This all-seasons journey is designed to introduce you to the region's most captivating sites, from the world-famous pilgrimage center of Medjugorje to the iconic UNESCO-listed city of Mostar.

Day after day description

Day 1. We depart from Makarska and cross into Bosnia-Herzegovina, traveling first to Medjugorje, a world-renowned Roman Catholic pilgrimage center that has attracted millions of visitors since reported apparitions began in 1981. We then continue to the iconic city of Mostar to explore its famous historical center (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and admire the reconstructed 16th-century Stari Most (Old Bridge), a powerful symbol of reconciliation. Our accommodation for the night is in Mostar.

Day 2. After staying in Mostar, we take a short drive to Blagaj to visit the stunning Dervish monastery (Tekija) (UNESCO Tentative List Site), a 16th-century Sufi (Islamic) retreat dramatically built at the source of the emerald Buna River. We then travel to Zitomislic to see its serene Serbian Orthodox monastery, originally founded in the 16th century, before enjoying a tasting at the Podrumi Andrija winery, sampling local Herzegovinian vintages. After that, we will return to Mostar for accommodation.

Day 3. After 2 nights in Mostar, we travel to the enchanting Ottoman-era hill town of Pocitelj (UNESCO Tentative List Site), renowned for its beautifully preserved stone architecture and panoramic views. We then visit the spectacular Kravica waterfalls, a natural amphitheater of cascades on the Trebizat River, perfect for swimming and photography. Finally, we return to Makarska, where our memorable journey concludes.

Conclusion

This 3-day mini tour delivers a wonderfully balanced immersion into the cultural and natural splendors of Herzegovina. We warmly invite you to travel with us and discover the timeless allure of Mostar, Blagaj, Pocitelj, and their enchanting surroundings.
