Single room supplement for our toursEach guest has own single room, or shares a double/twin room. A single room is a room intended for one person to stay in. With us, single rooms are available at a supplement, so called SRS. The single room supplement (SRS) is a travel industry premium charged to solo travelers when they take a room alone. The amount involved ranges from 10 to 100 percent of the standard accommodation rate. Your can read more about that here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_supplement
Why is single occupancy more expensive? The price per person for single occupancy is higher than the price per person for double occupancy. However, when two people travel together the cost of the hotel room is divided between the two travelers, so the double occupancy fare reflects a lower rate for each.
How do you avoid single supplements? Either look for someone to travel with you or book with a company that will match you with a roommate or that charges only a small solo supplement. Last updated on: 8 November 2020 |
